John Wainaina

SOCIOECONOMIC & POLICY RESEARCHER

A socio economist, adjunct economics university faculty and thought leader in data-driven policy research having consulted for non-state actors, private firms, government agencies and academic institutions mainly from East Africa.
John is pursuing PhD in Economics, holds MA and BA Economics and has 15 years’ experience in market and social research for product development, investment, planning, market sizing, impact measurement frameworks and user profiling by econometric and human-centered designs.

Irene Wagaki

Co-Principal| Digital Financial Services & Product Innovations Consultant
Irene is a strategist, researcher and creative designer who specializes in digital finance solutions at the intersection of agriculture, finance and technology.
Irene holds MBS-Strategy (Strathmore University and IESE Business School) and training in Behavioral Economics from the University of Toronto. She has 10 years of consulting practice. Her work has supported the growth strategies of several digital finance products across Africa, serving the needs of various providers including insur-tech providers, MNOs, banks and microfinance institutions clients across Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, and Zambia
