Problem:
The evolution of Instant and Inclusive Payment Systems (IIPS) in Africa has been uneven, reflecting diverse country contexts in consumer behaviour, policy choices, technology, and infrastructure. However, limited demand-side evidence constrains effective system design and policy responses.

Solution/Outcome:
We provided demand-side insights for the report that covered user behaviours, needs, and barriers to inform more inclusive, user-centred payment systems across Africa. It also provided forward-looking perspectives on IIPS development, demonstrating deep ecosystem-level expertise in instant payments as a core component of digital public infrastructure (DPI).
